The great festival of Martellago

In Martellago, a municipality in the Venetian hinterland in the province of Venice, the Sagra del Rosario is the event that closes summer and opens autumn: the most heartfelt and attended event in the entire village calendar. Organized by the Parish of Martellago, it enlivens the heart of the town for about two weeks with a proven formula that combines devotion, gastronomy, music, and fun for all ages.

Food stand, concerts, and fairground rides

The centre of the festival is the parish sports field in Via Friuli, where the heated food stand opens every evening with traditional Venetian dishes. Alongside the food, there are **shows and concerts** every evening, the charity raffle, tombola, and, on the final weekend, the fairground rides and fireworks that mark the end of the event.

The market and the town celebrating

On the central weekend, the festival moves from the sports field to Piazza Vittoria, where the market is held, with Via Castellana made pedestrian for the occasion. This is when the whole town comes together: families, young people, and visitors from neighbouring towns fill the streets, amidst stalls, the aromas of food, and the typical atmosphere of the great festivals of the Veneto region.
