Wild Boar Festival on Lake Maggiore

The Sagra del Cinghiale is one of the most characteristic gastronomic events in Brezzo di Bedero, a municipality in the Province of Varese overlooking Lake Maggiore, in Lombardy. The event takes place along Via Baumgartner and is promoted by the Pro Loco (local tourism association) in collaboration with the hunting team La Valtravaglia, over three days dedicated to the strong flavours of tradition.

Wild Boar Dishes

The absolute star is wild boar, cooked according to local recipes and offered in a variety of rustic and flavourful dishes: from pasta with ragù to polenta with stew, to wild boar hamburgers. A bold gastronomic offering that tells of the village's connection with hunting and mountain cuisine.

Music and Conviviality

The festival is not just about food: every evening the atmosphere is enlivened by DJ sets and music, in a convivial atmosphere that attracts families, friends, and visitors. The stands are open for dinner and, on weekend days, also for lunch, offering the chance to enjoy the flavours of wild boar in the evocative setting of Lake Maggiore.
