Sagne Scandrigliesi Festival

A historic milestone for the Sagne Scandrigliesi Festival, which celebrated its 40th edition on Friday, August 22 and Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Scandriglia, province of Rieti. Organized by the Pro Loco Scandriglia Association, the festival animated the historic center of the Sabina village starting at 6:00 PM, with food stands dedicated to sagne—egg fettuccine hand-crafted by local women and tossed in a sauce prepared according to the ancient local recipe.

Accompanying the village's signature pasta were bruschetta with Scandriglia extra virgin olive oil and local wine. The two evenings were punctuated by performances from the Colorado Band and Allegrini & Trebiani Band, the Stornellatori Romani led by maestro Fabrizio Masci, and the Casperia Majorettes, alongside artisan markets, practical demonstrations of traditional recipes, and entertainment for children. As per tradition, admission was free for one of the most beloved festivals in the Sabina region.
