About SacroFest

SacroFest is the cultural festival that enlivens Schio, in the Alto Vicentino area, every spring with a packed schedule of theatrical performances, concerts, storytelling, and current affairs discussions. Hosted between the Teatro Civico and the Teatro Pasubio, it blends big names from journalism, psychoanalysis, and auteur theatre with a constant focus on contemporary society. Each evening is accompanied by a food stand, in an atmosphere that intertwines cultural insight with community conviviality.

A festival that turns Schio into a stage

SacroFest is now an eagerly awaited event in Schio, a town in the Alto Vicentino region, province of Vicenza. Born as a multidisciplinary review, it has grown to attract leading guests from investigative journalism, culture, and entertainment, while maintaining its popular spirit as a widespread and accessible festival for everyone.

Theatre, music, storytelling, and current affairs

The program blends different genres: civic monologues and committed theatre, auteur concerts, sports and biographical storytelling, and encounters with major guests. The evenings are split between the Teatro Civico, the venue for the opening night, and the Teatro Pasubio, which hosts the bulk of the events, usually starting at 9:00 PM.

Major guests and contemporary themes

Over the years, the festival has brought well-known voices from television and culture to Schio, pairing them with hot current topics: the Constitution, education, the role of information, migration, and the relationship between youth and desire. This is the essence of SacroFest: a place to reflect on big issues with a direct language, without sacrificing lightness.

Conviviality and local roots

What makes SacroFest a true celebration is the food stand, active every evening, which turns the events into moments of gathering for the entire community of Schio and the Alto Vicentino. The festival is promoted by the SacroFest association and takes place in late spring, between the end of May and the beginning of June.

SacroFest โ€” edition 2026

The eleventh edition of SacroFest brings a rich program of VIP guests to Schio: from Luca Sommi's monologue on the Constitution to Sigfrido Ranucci's investigative report, and Massimo Recalcati's lecture on youth and education. Twelve evenings between the Teatro Civico and Teatro Pasubio, with concerts, storytelling, and committed theatre, all accompanied by the food stand each night.

The 2026 edition of SacroFest, the eleventh, takes place in Schio from May 27 to June 7. After the inauguration at the Teatro Civico, the festival moves to the Teatro Pasubio for twelve evenings alternating theatre, music, storytelling, and current affairs. Among the guests are journalist Luca Sommi, Report host Sigfrido Ranucci, and psychoanalyst Massimo Recalcati. Closing the program is the TeatroCarcere Due Palazzi project, uniting inmates and students.
