The major RTL 102.5 music festival that kicks off the summer at the Foro Italico in Rome
RTL 102.5 Power Hits Estate is one of the biggest celebrations of Italian pop music, a mega-concert held annually in Rome, in the heart of the Foro Italico, which symbolically marks the beginning of the summer season. Organized by the RTL 102.5 Group (which includes RTL 102.5, Radio Zeta, and Radiofreccia), the event gathers dozens of the most popular artists of the moment on one stage, all competing to present the songs that will vie for the title of the summer's biggest hit.
The evening takes place at the Centrale del Foro Italico, Rome's historic tennis stadium, which for one night transforms from a temple of sport into a temple of music. Located in the Foro Italico district in the Municipality of Rome (Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, Lazio), the venue welcomes thousands of spectators in a stunning setting, between packed stands and a massive stage set up for live radio and television broadcast.
Power Hits Estate is more than just a concert: it is the opening act of a long musical challenge that accompanies RTL 102.5 listeners throughout the summer. The songs presented during the Rome evening enter the charts and are voted on by the public, leading up to the grand finale that crowns the season's hit at the Arena di Verona every year. The Rome concert thus represents the "Grand Opening" of this journey.
What makes the event unique is the quantity and variety of artists involved: in a single evening, names from Italian light music, pop, rap, urban, and electronic scenes take the stage. Established stars and emerging talents share the same spotlight, offering the audience a complete snapshot of the current music scene in just a few hours of entertainment.
The evening is broadcast exclusively in "radiovision": those not at the Foro Italico can follow it on the radio via RTL 102.5, on television on channel 36 of the digital terrestrial network, and via streaming on RTL 102.5 Play. This dual dimension, both live and media-driven, makes Power Hits Estate an event followed by millions of people across Italy, capable of anticipating the hits that will resonate on radios and in town squares throughout the warm season.
Launched in 2017, the event has grown edition after edition to become one of the most anticipated summer-start rituals for pop music fans. For Rome, it is also a major attraction that brings a large, young audience to the Foro Italico and turns the Capital's spotlight onto contemporary Italian music.
On Sunday, May 31, 2026, the Centrale del Foro Italico in Rome hosted the tenth-anniversary edition of RTL 102.5 Power Hits Estate. A sold-out evening that inaugurated the summer with over forty artists on stage and a live radiovision broadcast starting at 9:00 PM on RTL 102.5, channel 36 of the digital terrestrial network, and RTL 102.5 Play.
The line-up brought together some of the most listened-to names in Italian music, accompanied by several surprise guests. For the first time, the hosting duties were entrusted to four voices, with greater female representation.
As per tradition, the Rome concert represented the "Grand Opening" of the season: the songs presented launched the race for the 2026 summer hit, which is set to conclude with the grand finale at the Arena di Verona in September.
A major musical event broadcast live in radiovision from the Centrale del Foro Italico in Rome, with the show starting at 9:00 PM (red carpet from 8:00 PM). Over forty artists took turns on stage to present the songs competing for the summer hit title.
