Live music and friendship in Val d'Aveto, in memory of Cristian Briggi
The Rosso Vivo Festival debuts in June 2026 in Cattaragna, a small mountain hamlet in the Municipality of Ferriere, in the province of Piacenza, in the heart of Val d'Aveto. The event was created to remember Cristian Briggi, known to everyone as "Il Rosso", who passed away on August 18, 2025. His lifelong friends and the Briggi family wanted to transform the memory into a moment of collective celebration, capable of keeping alive the connection with Cristian and the values he always represented: friendship, solidarity, joy, and passion for life.
The musical program is the beating heart of the festival. Saturday, June 20th, the celebration kicks off at 6:00 PM with a DJ set by Aceti Balsamici, followed by concerts by Banda dell'Ortica, Buffalo 66, and Baritoprince Orchestra Uganda. Sunday, June 21st, is dedicated to a performance by the Coro dell'Infrangibile, the group Cristian was a part of: an intimate and heartfelt tribute that ideally closes the two-day event.
Throughout the festival, a food stand will be open, offering specialties from the Piacenza Apennine region. There will also be beer (served on Saturday evening) and a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, reflecting a welcoming approach for everyone. The convivial dimension is central: the Rosso Vivo Festival is, above all, an opportunity for meeting, sharing, and friendship in a mountain village that comes alive for two days.
Cattaragna is located at over 800 meters above sea level, nestled among the woods and pastures of the Apennines, in one of Emilia-Romagna's most picturesque valleys. A hamlet of the Municipality of Ferriere, it is a place where community traditions and attachment to the land are still strong. The event is organized by the Circolo A.N.S.P.I. Amici di Cattaragna, which has been enlivening the village life for years with social and recreational initiatives.
The Rosso Vivo Festival is free to enter and is aimed at anyone who wants to spend a weekend of music and friendship in the Piacenza mountains. It is advisable to check for updates on the program and any accommodation arrangements on the organizers' official channels before traveling.
