Edition 2025 — Rosso Cor-vino

The third edition of Rosso Cor-vino took place on August 9-10, 2025, in Pietramontecorvino, in the heart of the Monti Dauni. Two days dedicated to local extra virgin olive oil, featuring a conference, show cooking, tasting masterclasses, guided field tours, a food festival with traditional zero-mile dishes, and two evenings of free live music in the ancient village.

Rosso Cor-vino 2025: the third edition

On August 9 and 10, 2025, Pietramontecorvino (FG) hosted the third edition of Rosso Cor-vino, the Pro Loco event dedicated to extra virgin olive oil and the agricultural culture of the Monti Dauni. Two days during which the village transformed into a hub for discussion on the EVO oil of the Capitanata region, featuring conferences, guided tastings, and events.

The reflection session was entrusted to the round table "Extra virgin olive oil of the Monti Dauni. Quality and territorial enhancement", featuring representatives from Coldiretti, CIA Agricoltori, Confagricoltura, and the GAL Meridaunia in discussion with local producers. On the culinary front, the show cooking by chef Mirko Esposito (Ristorante Coquus of Lucera) and the free masterclass "Journey into a drop of EVO Oil", led by food technologist Angela Chiariello, showcased local oil from production to tasting. There were also guided field tours and a food festival featuring traditional dishes. The evenings concluded with music, featuring Krikka Reggae on August 9 and Breath Groowe with their soul music on August 10.

  • Conference / round table "Extra virgin olive oil of the Monti Dauni. Quality and territorial enhancement", with Mario De Matteo (Coldiretti), Angelo Miano (CIA Agricoltori), Filippo Schiavone (Confagricoltura), and Pasquale De Vita (President of GAL Meridaunia), in discussion with local producers.
  • Show cooking by chef Mirko Esposito (Ristorante Coquus of Lucera), with gourmet dishes based on local extra virgin olive oil.
  • Food festival with traditional zero-mile dishes from the Monti Dauni.
  • 10:00 PM — Free concert by Krikka Reggae.

Sunday, August 10, 2025

  • Free masterclass "Journey into a drop of EVO Oil", a lecture and practical lesson on tasting and qualitative evaluation of EVO oil conducted by food technologist Dr. Angela Chiariello.
  • Guided field tours and direct observation of production processes.
  • Continuation of the food festival with tastings of typical local products.
  • Performance by Breath Groowe, with live soul music.

Highlights

The free concert by Krikka Reggae, the show cooking by chef Mirko Esposito, and the "Journey into a drop of EVO Oil" masterclass were among the most popular moments of the third edition.

Prices

Free admission to cultural initiatives and concerts. Food festival tastings available for purchase at the stalls. Partnerships with local restaurants and B&Bs were active.
