About Rosary Festival
A Festival Between Faith and Tradition
The Rosary Festival of Cappella Maggiore, in the province of Treviso, is one of the most deeply rooted autumn festivals in the Treviso foothills, at the foot of the Cansiglio plateau. Dedicated to the Madonna del Rosario, it combines the religious dimension — with the solemn mass and procession — with the popular aspect of a grand community celebration.
The Spit-Roast and Oktoberfest
The gastronomic heart of the event is the food and wine kiosk with the giant spit-roast and the beer stand in Oktoberfest style, which brings the atmosphere of Bavarian festivals to Cappella Maggiore, also thanks to the twinning with a German delegation.
Ancient Trades and Culture
Among the most evocative events is the re-enactment of ancient itinerant trades, with costumed figures from the period, accompanied by screenings of documentaries on 20th-century rural life and by band and baroque concerts. The traditional Luna Park is open throughout the festival.
A Celebration for the Whole Community
The event, promoted by the Pro Loco of Cappella Maggiore together with the parish of Santa Maria Maddalena, the Municipality, and local associations, takes place in Piazzale Donatori del Sangue and represents a moment of strong cohesion for the town and for the entire foothills area of the Veneto region.

The 2026 edition confirms the traditional early October event, although precise dates have not yet been published. The festival maintains its proven formula: solemn mass and procession of the Madonna del Rosario, gastronomic kiosk with spit-roast and Oktoberfest-style beer, re-enactment of ancient trades with costumed figures, documentaries on rural life, concerts, and Luna Park for the entire duration of the festival.

The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be announced by the Pro Loco of Cappella Maggiore closer to the event. Based on recent editions, the festival includes:
- Friday — Screening of documentaries on 20th-century rural life; opening of the gastronomic kiosk
- Saturday — Welcome of the German delegation, gastronomic moments with the Alpini, baroque concert
- Sunday — Re-enactment of ancient itinerant trades with costumed figures, solemn mass and procession of the Madonna del Rosario, band concerts
- Throughout the event — Giant spit-roast, Oktoberfest-style beer stand, and traditional Luna Park

How to get there
Cappella Maggiore is located in the upper province of Treviso, reachable by car from the A27 motorway (Vittorio Veneto exit) and then following signs for the town.
