About Rome Boat Show

The Rome International Boat Show is the event dedicated to small and medium-sized boating that brings the Fiera di Roma exhibition halls to life every December in the Portuense district. Organized by AFINA, the exhibition brings together over one hundred vessels under twelve meters—including gozzi, day cruisers, inflatables, and motorboats—alongside engines, accessories, and marine services. It is an event designed for boating enthusiasts in the Capital and throughout the Lazio region, featuring numerous market previews.

A show dedicated to small and medium-sized boating

The Rome International Boat Show is the trade fair that brings the sea to the heart of the Capital. Launched in 2024, the event has quickly carved out a specific niche in the Italian nautical calendar: that of small and medium-sized boating, featuring shipyards and vessels ranging from approximately five to twenty-five meters. This identity choice distinguishes it from large generalist boat shows and brings it closer to the audience of owners and enthusiasts who truly experience the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Lazio coastline.

Where and when: the Fiera di Roma exhibition halls

The event is held every December in halls 7 and 8 of the Fiera di Roma, along the Via Portuense, in the municipality of Rome and the province of Rome, in the Lazio region. The indoor setting, in the middle of winter, makes the show an opportunity to calmly plan the upcoming season, compare models and fittings, and meet shipyards and dealers directly, away from the summer rush.

The boats and exhibitors

The exhibition path brings together over one hundred vessels under twelve meters, with a variety that perfectly reflects Mediterranean pleasure boating:

  • Gozzi in the Sorrentine style and traditional vessels;
  • day cruisers and motorboats for coastal cruising;
  • inflatables and rigid-inflatable boats;
  • engines, trailers, floating docks, accessories, and nautical services.

Alongside the boats, Italian artisanal shipyards and industry operators present their latest innovations and market previews for the coming season in Rome.

A project by AFINA

The organization is entrusted to AFINA, the Italian Nautical Supply Chain Association, which aimed to restore an international-level nautical event to the Capital. The stated goal is to enhance the small and medium-sized boating supply chain, a sector made up of artisanal businesses and local excellence that often do not find space in larger-format shows.

An event for the Capital and the Lazio region

With its accessible approach and strategic location at the gates of Rome, the Rome International Boat Show appeals to industry professionals as well as families and curious visitors. For the Lazio region, which boasts a long Tyrrhenian coastline, it represents a showcase of maritime culture and an opportunity for encounter between those who live the sea and those who build it.
