On October 10th and 11th, 2026, Romadiffusa brings its city-wide festival format to the Esquilino district, one of Rome's most vibrant and multicultural neighborhoods. For an entire weekend, historic squares, markets, palaces, and spaces usually closed to the public are transformed into stages for concerts, performances, urban art, and gatherings, most of which are free to attend.

A festival that redefines the Capital's narrative

Founded in 2022 in Trastevere and conceived by the creative studio Bla Studio (Maddalena Salerno and Sara D'Agati), Romadiffusa aims to tell the story of a Rome beyond mass tourism: not just an open-air museum, but a living, contemporary, and creative city. Every year, the festival moves to a new district to reveal its hidden energy, literally knocking on the doors of local artisans, artists, and cultural entities.

The venues of the Esquilino edition

The 2026 edition highlights some of the district's most iconic landmarks: Piazza Vittorio with its gardens, the Esquilino Market—a crossroads of cultures and flavors—Palazzo Merulana, Palazzo Brancaccio, Piazza Dante, and the Acquario Romano. An itinerary that weaves together public spaces and private locations, inviting the public to rediscover Esquilino through fresh eyes.
