Roma Incantata – Magic and Fantasy Festival

A festival dedicated to magic and fantasy in the heart of Rome

Roma Incantata – Magic and Fantasy Festival is a new cultural project bringing the art of illusion and fantasy imagery to the historic center of Rome, in the Lazio region. Conceived by Hecate S.r.l., the festival was born with the ambition of weaving together live magic, performance, and the world of the fantastic in a program capable of engaging both enthusiasts and families with children.

Roma Incantata and the Roma Creativa 365 project

The festival was selected as part of Roma Creativa 365. Culture all year round, the major biennial public call through which Roma Capitale and Zètema Progetto Cultura support cultural activities throughout the city, extending beyond the summer season. With a total budget of over 8.5 million euros, the call rewarded hundreds of proposals spread across all districts: Roma Incantata is among the projects admitted in Section 1, dedicated to initiatives aimed at the entire city.

A program between illusionism and fantasy

The festival aims to create a dialogue between two related and complementary worlds: on one hand, magic and illusionism, with their ability to suspend disbelief and restore wonder; on the other, fantasy, with its creatures, characters, and atmospheres. The goal is to build an immersive experience that involves the spectator, combining live performance, animation, and the culture of the marvelous in a format designed for all ages.

The initiative is located in Municipio I of Rome, the heart of the capital's historic center, an ideal setting for a festival that seeks to restore a sense of enchantment and participation to public squares and cultural venues.
