Rome's craft beverage festival at Forte Trionfale
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Roma Craft Fest is a vibrant new event in the capital entirely dedicated to the world of artisanal beverages in all their forms. Launched in March 2025, the event gathers small, independent producers from all over Italy at the Forte Trionfale: craft breweries, natural wine estates, spirit distillers, specialty coffee roasters, and a range of non-alcoholic and low-alcohol (no&low) options. It is a weekend of tastings, producer meet-and-greets, and craft culture in the heart of Rome North.
The festival takes place at the evocative Forte Trionfale on Via Trionfale, one of the 19th-century forts surrounding Rome. Now an event space in the Trionfale district at the foot of Monte Mario, the setting—a blend of military architecture and urban greenery—offers an intimate and unique backdrop. It is well-connected by public transport and just minutes from the Vatican and the Stadio Olimpico, located in the municipality of Rome, in the Lazio region.
The common thread is artisanal quality and small-scale production. Previous editions have featured:
Roma Craft Fest is more than just a tasting event: alongside the stands, you will find a live music program with DJ sets and concerts, a space dedicated to illustrated prints and small-batch design, and networking moments designed to celebrate creative craftsmanship. The atmosphere is that of a neighborhood festival that blends drinking culture, great food, and the independent art scene.
The inaugural edition in March 2025 took place during the fifteenth Italy Beer Week, the national celebration of craft beer, creating a dialogue with other brewing initiatives across Rome. This connection positions the festival within a broader movement dedicated to rediscovering Italian beer and artisanal drinks.
Admission is free: you only pay for what you consume, typically through a pay-as-you-go system. It is the ideal occasion for enthusiasts, the curious, and families looking to discover small Italian producers in an informal and convivial setting—one of the newest fixtures on the independent food and wine scene in Rome and Lazio.
At the moment, the organizers have not yet communicated the official dates for the 2026 edition of Roma Craft Fest. The information provided is provisional and pending confirmation on the event's official channels.
Forte Trionfale is located at Via Trionfale 7400, in the Trionfale/Monte Mario district of Rome North. By car, it is accessible via Via Trionfale; parking in the area is limited, so public transport is recommended. Numerous bus lines run along Via Trionfale; taking Metro A (Cipro or Ottaviano stop) followed by a connecting bus is a convenient alternative.
Admission has been free in previous editions; tastings of beer, wine, spirits, coffee, and no&low drinks are paid for directly at the stands.
This is an outdoor event: please check the updated dates and lineup on the official social media channels (Instagram and Facebook @romacraftfestival) before heading out.
