Rimini Summer Pride is the event that, every summer since 2016, transforms the seafront of Rimini (Province of Rimini, Emilia-Romagna) into a grand rainbow catwalk. Dubbed "the most romantic pride in Italy," it owes this nickname to its unique setting: the parade marches at sunset along the Parco del Mare, with the Adriatic Sea as a backdrop and the famous panoramic sign "RIMINI" lighting up in rainbow colors.
Promoted by Arcigay Rimini "Alan Turing", the event is much more than a parade: it is a political and cultural demonstration for the rights, dignity, and visibility of LGBTQI+ people, attracting tens of thousands of participants from all over Romagna and beyond. In recent years, organizers have reported attendance close to 25,000 people, placing it among the most attended pride events in central-northern Italy.
A week of events: Pride Week
The Saturday parade is the highlight, but it is preceded by an entire Pride Week spread throughout the city: themed meetings, book presentations, readings, debates, walks, and musical moments animate Rimini in the days leading up to the grand parade. A program designed to intertwine celebration and reflection, giving space to associations, culture, and civil rights issues.
The parade along the seafront
The heart of the event is the parade that starts from Piazzale Kennedy and runs along Rimini's seafront to the Parco Fellini area, where the main stage is set up. The procession is enlivened by numerous musical floats, the Rainbow Families train, and groups, associations, and citizens who color the Parco del Mare with flags and confetti, in an atmosphere that blends protest and seaside fun.
The party until night
Once the stage is reached, the evening continues with political speeches, entertainment, and live music until late at night, accompanied by food stands and refreshment points along the seafront. Rimini Summer Pride thus confirms the Romagna Riviera's vocation for hospitality and inclusion, in one of Italy's most famous tourist destinations.

How to get there
Rimini is easily reachable by train (Rimini station on the Bologna-Ancona Adriatic line) and by car via the A14 motorway, exit Rimini Sud or Rimini Nord. From the station, the seafront and Piazzale Kennedy are reachable on foot or by public transport. The nearest airport is "Federico Fellini" Airport in Rimini-Miramare.
