About Abbiategusto

Abbiategusto is the great food festival of Abbiategrasso, a national food and wine review that at the end of November fills the city with flavors, aromas, and food culture. Stalls of typical products, farmers' market, guided tastings, cooking workshops for children, gala dinners, and musical performances liven up the Fair, the squares, and the Visconti Castle. Strong in its identity as a Slow City, Abbiategrasso celebrates the excellence of the Lombard territory here in an eagerly awaited event.

Abbiategrasso, city of good living

Abbiategrasso, in the Metropolitan City of Milan, is one of the Italian cities that adhere to the network of Slow Cities, the movement that promotes quality of life, environment, and food culture. Abbiategusto is the natural expression of this vocation: a national food and wine review that, at the end of November, showcases the excellence and flavors of the territory.

Flavors and food culture

The event is spread across several city locations—the Fair in Via Ticino, Piazza Marconi, Piazza Castello, and the Visconti Castle—with a rich and varied program:

  • Food and wine stalls and farmers' market with typical Lombard products
  • Guided tastings and taste tours with chefs
  • Cooking workshops for children
  • Musical performances, dances, and cultural moments
  • Themed gala dinners in historic residences

A territorial event

Abbiategusto involves entities such as Coldiretti and local producers, intertwining gastronomic promotion with the cultural enhancement of the city. The presence of Slow City authorities, the opening of the Visconti Castle, and cultural events—from the exhibition of Leonardo da Vinci's musical instruments to concerts by the city's Philharmonic Orchestra—make the review much more than a food fair: a story of Abbiategrasso's good living.

Abbiategusto — edition 2026

The 2026 edition of Abbiategusto, the 27th, is expected at the end of November in Abbiategrasso. The national food and wine review will liven up the Fair, the squares, and the Visconti Castle with typical products, tastings, workshops, and shows.

The 27th edition of Abbiategusto is scheduled for the end of November 2026, following the 26th edition held from November 28-30, 2025. The event confirms its established format: food and wine stalls, farmers' market, guided tastings, workshops for children, gala dinners, and shows, spread across the Fair in Via Ticino, Piazza Marconi, Piazza Castello, and the Visconti Castle.
