Abbiategrasso, in the Metropolitan City of Milan, is one of the Italian cities that adhere to the network of Slow Cities, the movement that promotes quality of life, environment, and food culture. Abbiategusto is the natural expression of this vocation: a national food and wine review that, at the end of November, showcases the excellence and flavors of the territory.

The event is spread across several city locations—the Fair in Via Ticino, Piazza Marconi, Piazza Castello, and the Visconti Castle—with a rich and varied program:

A territorial event
Abbiategusto involves entities such as Coldiretti and local producers, intertwining gastronomic promotion with the cultural enhancement of the city. The presence of Slow City authorities, the opening of the Visconti Castle, and cultural events—from the exhibition of Leonardo da Vinci's musical instruments to concerts by the city's Philharmonic Orchestra—make the review much more than a food fair: a story of Abbiategrasso's good living.
Abbiategusto — edition 2026
The 27th edition of Abbiategusto is scheduled for the end of November 2026, following the 26th edition held from November 28-30, 2025. The event confirms its established format: food and wine stalls, farmers' market, guided tastings, workshops for children, gala dinners, and shows, spread across the Fair in Via Ticino, Piazza Marconi, Piazza Castello, and the Visconti Castle.

- Opening ceremony with Slow City authorities
- Food and wine stalls and farmers' market with typical Lombard products
- 'Monelli in cucina' (Little Ones in the Kitchen) workshops for children
- Taste tours with chefs and guided tastings
- Concerts, dance performances, and cultural moments at the Visconti Castle
- Themed gala dinners in historic residences

How to get there
Abbiategrasso is about 22 km from Milan, reachable by train (Milan-Mortara line) and by car from the SS494. The Fair is at Via Ticino 70; other events are in the historic center and at the Visconti Castle.
Admission
Access to the exhibition areas is generally free; some events (gala dinners, guided tastings) may require booking and a fee.
