The Berici raperonzolo review
Ranpussolo and surroundings is the gastronomic review that, during the months of January and February, enlivens the restaurants of Villaga and the hamlet of Pozzolo di Villaga, in the Berici Hills in the province of Vicenza. The star is the ranpussolo, or raperonzolo, a wild field herb that has become a De.Co. (Municipal Designation) product here, a gastronomic symbol of the territory.
Dishes and restaurants
For two months, the chefs of the participating establishments offer dedicated menus: the ranpussolo is reinterpreted in sauces, risottos, and creative side dishes, culminating in the iconic dish of the Berici area — grilled salami served with ranpussolo salad expertly dressed with crispy lard and vinegar. Among the participating restaurants are Agriturismo Belvedere and Trattoria Sabrina in Villaga, Trattoria Berica in Pozzolo, Cà Martina pizzeria in Zovencedo, and Ai Canonici restaurant in Barbarano Mossano. Some evenings feature dedicated dinner events.
An excellence to rediscover
Promoted by the Restaurateurs of Confcommercio Vicenza, the review was created to enhance a humble yet precious product, linked to the peasant tradition of the Berici Hills. An invitation to discover, in the heart of winter, the authentic flavors of this corner of the Vicenza province.
Ranpussolo and surroundings — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Ranpussolo and surroundings brings the De.Co. raperonzolo to the tables of restaurants in Villaga and its surroundings between January and February. Five establishments are participating — Agriturismo Belvedere and Trattoria Sabrina in Villaga, Trattoria Berica in Pozzolo, Cà Martina pizzeria in Zovencedo, Ai Canonici restaurant in Barbarano Mossano — with dedicated menus and some dinner events scheduled. Among the special evenings are the dinner on January 10th at Agriturismo Belvedere and the one on January 16th at Ai Canonici restaurant.

How to get there
Villaga is located in the Berici Hills, south of Vicenza. By car from the A4 motorway (exit Vicenza Ovest or Montebello) towards the Berici area. The review involves restaurants in Villaga, Pozzolo, Zovencedo, and Barbarano Mossano.
