Africa in the Heart of Brianza
The Radice d'Africa Festival is the day that Parco Tittoni in Desio (province of Monza and Brianza) dedicates to African culture. Organized by the Radice d'Africa cultural association and conceived by Akueson Adotey Dotcha, the festival gathers sounds, words, images, flavors, and traditions of the continent, offering them to the Brianza public as an opportunity for discovery and cultural encounter.
Music, Dance, and Flavors
The program intertwines live African music and dance, moments of storytelling and narration, images and installations, accompanied by ethnic street food that brings the aromas of African cuisine to the park. It is a popular and participatory feast, designed for families, the curious, and world music enthusiasts, celebrating the richness and variety of the continent's traditions.
A Festival of Encounter and Inclusion
Included in the Parco Tittoni summer program, the Radice d'Africa Festival embodies its spirit of inclusion and intercultural dialogue. In the gardens of Villa Tittoni, on Via Lampugnani, the event builds a symbolic bridge between Africa and Brianza, valuing the presence of African communities in the area and offering Desio a day of music, colors, and sharing.
Radice d'Africa — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Radice d'Africa Festival is scheduled for Sunday, June 28th, at Parco Tittoni in Desio, as part of the park's summer program. The day offers live African music and dance, moments of storytelling and narration, images and flavors of the continent, with ethnic street food. Sunday at Parco Tittoni also includes brunch and the Superzero Family Show.
