Africa in the heart of Brianza
The Radice d'Africa Festival is the day that Parco Tittoni in Desio (province of Monza and Brianza) dedicates to African culture. Organised by the Radice d'Africa cultural association and conceived by Akueson Adotey Dotcha, the festival brings together sounds, words, images, flavours and traditions of the continent, offering them to the people of Brianza as an opportunity for discovery and cultural exchange.
Music, dance and flavours
The programme combines live African music and dance, moments of narration and storytelling, images and installations, accompanied by ethnic street food that brings the aromas of African cuisine to the park. It is a popular and participatory festival, designed for families, the curious and world music enthusiasts, celebrating the richness and diversity of the continent's traditions.
A festival of meeting and inclusion
Included in the Parco Tittoni summer programme, the Radice d'Africa Festival embodies its spirit of inclusion and intercultural dialogue. In the gardens of Villa Tittoni, on via Lampugnani, the event builds a symbolic bridge between Africa and Brianza, valuing the presence of African communities in the area and offering Desio a day of music, colours and sharing.
Radice d'Africa — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Radice d'Africa Festival is scheduled for Sunday, June 28th at Parco Tittoni in Desio, as part of the park's summer programme. The day offers live African music and dance, moments of narration and storytelling, images and flavours of the continent, with ethnic street food. Sunday at Parco Tittoni also includes brunch and the Superzero Family Show.
