A Fairytale Christmas in Desio
'Magical Christmas' is the rich Christmas program that animates Desio (province of Monza and Brianza) from late November until January 6th. Promoted by the Municipality, it transforms the city center into an enchanted path made of spectacular illuminations, giant installations, markets, music, and initiatives for children.
Illuminations, Tree, and Ice Rink
The protagonists are the illuminations, with luminous figures up to three meters high dedicated to the most beloved fairytale characters: the Little Prince, the Nutcracker, the Gingerbread Man, and the reindeer Rudolph. The official lighting kicks off the celebration in Piazza Conciliazione with a dedicated show. Among the attractions, there is the ice skating rink, active until Epiphany, and a small train that travels through the center on certain days.
Santa Claus's House, Markets, and Shows
In Piazza Conciliazione, you'll find Santa Claus's House, while lights, decorated trees, and Christmas markets wind through the streets and neighborhoods. The calendar includes concerts, exhibitions, children's stories, bagpipers, stilt walkers, and numerous other events. 'Magical Christmas' is now a winter classic in Desio, capable of attracting families and visitors from all over Brianza to the city center in an atmosphere of celebration and wonder.
Magical Christmas — edition 2026
In 2026, Desio is once again preparing to experience its 'Magical Christmas', with the city center transformed into an enchanted path from late November until January 6th. The program will again feature spectacular illuminations with fairytale characters, the lighting of the tree in Piazza Conciliazione, the ice skating rink, Santa Claus's House, markets, street shows, and children's activities. The detailed calendar with dates and times will be published by the Municipality of Desio in the weeks preceding the event's start.
