Masks, confetti, and street games in the square for families and children
In Quistello, a municipality in the province of Mantua in the Oltrepò Mantovano region, the Carnival Festival is an event primarily dedicated to children and families. It takes place in Piazzale Pio Semeghini, in the heart of the town — the square named after the famous Quistello painter Pio Semeghini — which for an afternoon fills with masks, colors, and joy.
The program is the classic and always beloved village Carnival: masks, confetti, and many traditional and street games that bring smiles to both young and old. The entertainment is curated by Roberto Mantovani, who with his old-fashioned games transforms the square into a true party space, focused on simplicity and shared fun.
Organized by the Municipality of Quistello, the Carnival Festival is a convivial moment that brings together families from the town and surrounding areas for a carefree afternoon. Not a large parade of floats, but a child-friendly celebration that enhances the square and the community spirit of Quistello, in Lombardy, during the most colorful time of the year.
The 2026 edition of the Quistello Carnival Festival is confirmed for Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, in Piazzale Pio Semeghini.
The afternoon will be enlivened by masks, confetti, games, and fun for the whole family, with traditional and street games curated by Roberto Mantovani.
