A village festival dedicated to inclusion

In the heart of Quarto Inferiore, a hamlet in the Municipality of Granarolo dell'Emilia in the province of Bologna, there is an event that for over twenty-five years has united the neighborhood around a simple and powerful idea: enjoying time together. It is Quarto di Luna, the festival organized by L'Arche Comunità l'Arcobaleno in its garden at Via Badini 4. It's not just any fair: it's an event born from and for the community, where people with and without disabilities share music, food, and games in a spirit of welcome that is the event's true hallmark.

Three days of music, flavors, and games

For an entire weekend, the garden transforms into a small festive village. As dusk falls, the lights turn on and the live music begins, with concerts and DJ sets animating the evenings. The unmistakable aroma that guides visitors is that of fried crescentine, the undisputed queens of Emilian gastronomic tradition, served alongside the restaurant's offerings and a dedicated stand for celiacs.

A festival with a purpose

Quarto di Luna is not just about fun: each edition funds a concrete project of the Comunità l'Arcobaleno. In recent editions, the proceeds have been allocated to the Carpentry Project, which involves the creation of a equipped workshop where assistants and residents can work together to create wooden toys and handcrafted items. This is the deepest meaning of the festival: a moment of shared joy that translates into real opportunities for those who live in the community.

A choral event of the territory

The event is made possible by the collaboration of numerous local entities: Gli Amici di Arche APS, the Associazione Orti, the Pro Loco of Granarolo dell'Emilia, the Parrocchia of Quarto Inferiore, the Polisportiva dilettantistica Lovoleto, and the Centro Sociale of Quarto Inferiore, with the patronage of the Municipality. A mosaic of associations that well illustrates how deeply Quarto di Luna is rooted in the identity of this corner of the Bolognese plain.
