Three days of DOP ham, truffle, and oil from the Berici Hills in Nanto
In Nanto, a small municipality nestled in the Berici Hills near Vicenza, one of the richest food and wine events in the area takes place every July: Prosciuttando together with The Olive Tree and the Truffle of the Berici Hills. Two historic events — the 18th and 33rd editions respectively in 2026 — celebrating three local excellences: Prosciutto Veneto Berico Euganeo DOP, Nanto's De.Co. Scorzone Truffle, and the DOP extra virgin olive oil from the Berici Hills.
At Nanto's sports facilities, the food stand offers dishes built around the area's DOP and De.Co. products, while cooking shows with the "Giovani del Gusto" (Young Talents of Taste) feature local chefs working with ham, truffle, and oil. Among the most engaging activities are the guided tours of the "King's" ham producer, with a final tasting, by reservation and with limited spots.
The evenings combine gastronomy with entertainment, featuring aperitifs, DJ sets, live music, and sports tournaments. Sunday is dedicated to nature with the "Nanto: the Riviera of the Olive Trees" walk, through the olive groves that shape the landscape of the Berici Hills, followed by the "Green Tour" community lunch. Organized by Pro Loco Nanto and GS Nanto, the festival is an opportunity to discover a territory where olive and truffle cultivation coexist with a great cured meat tradition.
The Prosciuttando 2026 festival (18th edition) and The Olive Tree and the Truffle of the Berici Hills (33rd edition) will liven up Nanto from July 8 to 10. The stars are the local products — Prosciutto Veneto Berico Euganeo DOP, De.Co. Scorzone Truffle, and DOP EVO oil — celebrated with cooking shows, tastings, visits to ham producers, music, and sports. The grand finale on Sunday features a walk among the olive trees and a community lunch.
Nanto is located in the Berici Hills, south of Vicenza. By car, take the A4 motorway exit Vicenza Est or the SS247 Riviera Berica; the festival takes place at the municipal sports facilities. The nearest train station is Vicenza, then take a bus or taxi.
Free admission to the festival. Guided tours of the "King's" ham producer require mandatory reservation and have limited spots. The "Green Tour" community lunch on Sunday has a fixed menu (around 15 euros). Food stand open in the evening from 7:00 PM.
