About GirovagArte

A specially equipped truck that transforms into a mobile stage, reaching all of Padua's neighborhoods one evening after another: this is GirovagArte, the summer festival that brings cinema, music, theater, author talks, urban trekking, and children's shows to the city's parks and libraries. Dozens of free events to rediscover Padua's districts, with a special focus on solidarity thanks to the GirovagArte Solidale project.

Culture that meets the neighborhoods

GirovagArte is the summer festival organized by the Municipality of Padua that flips the usual city event model: instead of concentrating in the center, culture moves towards the people, aboard a truck that becomes a traveling stage, reaching all the city's neighborhoods and parks. A format designed not to leave any district behind, bringing shows and encounters even to the most peripheral areas of Padua.

Cinema, theater, music, and talks

The program is multidisciplinary: evenings of cinema, music, and theater alternate with author talks, book presentations, urban trekking, and children's shows, hosted in neighborhood parks and libraries. A formula that combines entertainment and participation, transforming every green corner of the city into a small, widespread festival.

GirovagArte Solidale

Alongside the shows, there is a solidarity dimension: the GirovagArte Solidale project dedicates fundraising to Medici con l'Africa CUAMM, the historic health cooperation organization based right in Padua. Thus, the festival is not only a high-quality summer program but also a concrete opportunity for civic engagement, perfectly in line with the spirit of a city that uses culture as a tool for community building.
