Culture that Meets the Neighbourhoods
GirovagArte is the summer festival organized by the Municipality of Padua that flips the usual city event model: instead of concentrating in the centre, culture moves towards the people, aboard a truck that becomes a travelling stage, reaching all the city's neighbourhoods and parks. A format designed not to leave any district behind, bringing shows and events even to the most peripheral areas of Padua.
Cinema, Theatre, Music, and Talks
The programme is multidisciplinary: evenings of cinema, music, and theatre alternate with author talks, book presentations, urban trekking, and children's shows, hosted in neighbourhood parks and libraries. A formula that combines entertainment and participation, transforming every green corner of the city into a small, widespread festival.
GirovagArte Solidale
Alongside the shows, there is a dimension of solidarity: the GirovagArte Solidale project dedicates fundraising to Medici con l'Africa CUAMM, the historic health cooperation organization based right in Padua. Thus, the festival is not only a high-quality summer programme but also a concrete opportunity for civic engagement, perfectly in line with the spirit of a city that uses culture as a tool for community building.
GirovagArte — edition 2026
The seventh edition of GirovagArte starts on June 26, 2026, and accompanies Padua's summer with 39 events featuring music, theatre, cinema, author talks, urban trekking, book presentations, and children's shows, hosted in Padua's neighbourhoods, parks, and libraries aboard the travelling truck.
The solidarity aspect is also confirmed with GirovagArte Solidale, which dedicates fundraising to Medici con l'Africa CUAMM.

- The neighbourhoods become the natural stage for the festival, with the travelling truck bringing shows, music, and cinema to parks and libraries.
