Pro Loco Summer Music Evenings in Lecce nei Marsi

In the heart of the Marsica region, nestled at an altitude of 740 meters on the southern slopes of the Fucino plain, the town of Lecce nei Marsi (Province of L'Aquila, Abruzzo) hosts a series of music and entertainment evenings every summer, organized by the local Pro Loco. The events take place in Piazza Monumento, the town's open-air living room, which transforms into a grand stage for the occasion.

A lineup of comedy, music, and dance

Every year, the festival features a proven formula that alternates different genres over a few consecutive nights, usually around the Ferragosto holiday. The program ranges from cabaret and comedy to cover bands performing the greatest hits of Italian pop music, and DJ sets that turn the square into a dance floor. The program changes from year to year with different acts, while maintaining the same spirit of a festival open to everyone.

Recent editions

In the 2025 edition, the Pro Loco hosted three consecutive evenings from August 13th to 15th: the comedian Dado with his tour, the cover band Jolly Blu dedicated to the songs of 883 and Max Pezzali, and DJ Get Far (Fargetta) to close the event. The previous year, in 2024, the square welcomed DJ Giorgio Prezioso for a dance night. All events were free of charge.

A village between nature and tradition

• Lecce nei Marsi is a member of the Borghi Autentici d'Italia (Authentic Villages of Italy) association.
• It is one of the gateways to the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park, along with Gioia dei Marsi, on the side of the Giovenco Valley.
• The ancient beech forests in the municipal territory were recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017.

These summer evenings represent much more than just a concert: they are a moment of community gathering and an opportunity for holidaymakers and hikers to experience the authentic atmosphere of an Abruzzo mountain village, enjoying the cool high-altitude air and the hospitality of the Pro Loco.
