A summer of festivals in Isola Sant'Antonio

The Pro Loco Isolana Events are the series of festivities that accompany the warm season every year in Isola Sant'Antonio, a small town in the Province of Alessandria, Piedmont. From March 29 to September 6, 2026, the village comes alive with a series of food festivals, local celebrations, and cultural appointments designed for the entire community and visitors from the surrounding areas. Admission to all initiatives is free, in keeping with the best traditions of Italian Pro Loco associations.

The tradition of the Bassa Alessandrina

Located along the Po River, on the border between Piedmont and Lombardy, Isola Sant'Antonio is part of that mosaic of small rural centers where food festivals represent the most vibrant moments of village life. The Pro Loco Isolana, the organizational heart of these events, works to keep the local rural roots alive: conviviality around the table, the products of the land, and the meeting of generations are the common thread throughout the entire program.

The Melon Festival, the signature event

The most anticipated appointment in the calendar is the Melon Festival, dedicated to the fruit that has made the area famous. Traditionally held in July, the festival offers local specialties based on melon: the classic prosciutto and melon, melon gelato, and, of course, the fresh fruit grown in the sandy and fertile soils along the Po. It is an opportunity to discover the quality of a signature product of the Bassa Alessandrina, accompanied by music and festive moments in the square.
