The village of Sant'Anatolia di Narco dresses up in flowers for the historic floriculture market exhibition of Valnerina
The Floriculture Market Exhibition of Sant'Anatolia di Narco, known as Primavera in Valnerina, is one of the most anticipated events of the beautiful season in the province of Perugia. For an entire weekend, the historic center of the village fills with plants, flowers, scents, and colors, with exhibitors and nursery gardeners arriving from all over Umbria.
The event is not just a floriculture market: alongside the plant and gardening stands, there is space for the typical products of Valnerina, craft demonstrations such as mozzarella spinning, workshops dedicated to soil, bees, and biodiversity, meetings on native Umbrian fruits, and entertainment for children and families.
The event is also an opportunity to discover Sant'Anatolia di Narco, historically linked to the cultivation and processing of hemp: during the festival, the Hemp Museum offers guided tours and weaving and spinning workshops. Painting exhibitions, parades in period costumes, and itinerant concerts animate the village alleys, in a setting made unique by the spring blooming of the Nera river valley.
Organized by the Municipality of Sant'Anatolia di Narco with the BIM 'Nera e Velino' Consortium and the support of GAL Valle Umbra and Sibillini, Primavera in Valnerina involves local associations, the Pro-Narco, and the agricultural institutes of the area, in an event that combines green promotion, village enhancement, and sociality.
The XIX edition of Primavera in Valnerina took place from May 1st to 3rd, 2026, with the official inauguration on Friday at 11:30 AM in the historic center of Sant'Anatolia di Narco. The exhibition stands of plants and flowers were open daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, enlivened by workshops, exhibitions, itinerant concerts, and activities for families. The edition was organized by the Municipality with the BIM 'Nera e Velino' Consortium and the support of GAL Valle Umbra and Sibillini.
Guided tours of the Hemp Museum with weaving and spinning workshops, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Bar, refreshment point, and catering area managed by Pro-Narco.
