The Primavalle Infestival is a neighborhood festival that brings Piazza Alfonso Capecelatroโone of the most vibrant and recognizable spots in the Primavalle district, in Rome's northwest suburbsโto life for four days. Concerts, live music, and street food stalls turn the square into a meeting point for residents, families, and young people, capturing the authentic spirit of traditional Roman neighborhood festivities.
The event is held entirely in Piazza Alfonso Capecelatro, the beating heart of Primavalle, located in the Municipality XIV of Rome, in the Lazio region. Surrounded by the historic social housing that defines the neighborhood's character, the square becomes a hub of social activity where the community reclaims public space and enjoys the atmosphere until late in the evening.
The program spans four days with a schedule designed for all ages. Evenings revolve around live music, with concerts and performances keeping the crowd entertained until late, while the dedicated street food and catering areas offer a variety of local specialties in a convivial setting.
Primavalle is one of Rome's historic districts, established in the 1930s and grown into a community with a strong, distinct identity. Events like the Primavalle Infestival reflect this very soul: the desire to be together, the vitality of its squares, and the deep bond between the inhabitants and their territory. For those visiting Rome away from the usual tourist circuits, it is a chance to discover the authentic and lively face of a neighborhood that treats the street as a place of encounter.
The Primavalle Infestival is a grassroots initiative, born from the participation of residents and local associations with the goal of enlivening public space and strengthening community ties. It is a celebration that blends music, gastronomy, and conviviality, cementing Piazza Capecelatro as the social landmark of Primavalle every year.
The Primavalle Infestival is expected to return in 2026 to bring Piazza Alfonso Capecelatro to life once again. Following the success of previous years, the event is planned to span four days featuring live music, concerts, street food, and catering stalls in a festive, free-entry atmosphere. Exact dates and the program have not yet been published.
