About Portogruaro Festival
Over forty years of great music
The Portogruaro International Music Festival, titled CONSONANZE in recent editions, was born in 1983 and has established itself as a reference point in the Italian festival landscape. It takes place in Portogruaro, an elegant town in the province of Venice in Eastern Veneto, between July and September. In 2026, it will reach its 44th edition.
Concerts and advanced training
The event has two intertwined souls: major concerts, with international-level performers, and advanced masterclasses, which attract young musicians, teachers, and enthusiasts from all over the world to Portogruaro every year. Artistic direction is entrusted to pianist Alessandro Taverna, while the organization is managed by the Fondazione Musicale Santa Cecilia.
A festival spread throughout the territory
The main venue for concerts is the Teatro Comunale Luigi Russolo, complemented by other historical sites in Portogruaro and Eastern Veneto, which provide an evocative setting for the performances. The festival represents one of the most significant events for classical music in the Northeast, capable of combining the concert tradition with investment in young talent, in a city that preserves a precious historical and architectural heritage.
