The Caorle Independent Film Festival is the film event that animates Caorle, a renowned seaside resort in the province of Venice, at the end of summer. The festival provides space for independent cinema from around the world, with a selection of short films, feature films, documentaries, animated works, and pilot episodes.
An international showcase
The free screenings are held at the "Andrea Bafile" Cultural Centre and bring works selected from hundreds of international submissions to the big screen. They are evaluated by several juries: a technical jury composed of industry professionals, a popular jury that gives a voice to the audience, and a youth jury made up of local students.
A growing festival
Supported by the Municipality of Caorle and the Veneto Region, the festival is an opportunity to discover emerging talents and new visions of contemporary cinema, in a unique setting that combines film culture with the charm of Caorle's historic centre and lagoon.

The 9th edition of the Caorle Independent Film Festival is scheduled from September 15 to 19, 2026, at the "Andrea Bafile" Cultural Centre in Caorle (Venice). The 75 best works selected, including short films, feature films, documentaries, animations, and pilot episodes, will be screened.
Programme Caorle Independent Film Festival 2026
The festival spans five days (September 15-19, 2026) of free screenings at the Bafile Cultural Centre:
- Screening of the 75 best selected works: short films, feature films, documentaries, animations, and pilot episodes
- Evaluation entrusted to three juries: technical jury (industry professionals, including actress and director Anna Carvalho, filmmaker Martina Mele, and producer Roberta Pazi), popular jury, and youth jury from the "Enrico Fermi" institute
- Awards ceremony
Submissions are open until June 1, 2026, via the FilmFreeway platform. The detailed screening schedule will be published on the festival's official channels.

How to get there
Caorle (VE) can be reached by car from the A4 motorway (Santo Stino di Livenza/Portogruaro exit) and by public buses; the nearest train station is Portogruaro-Caorle. Screenings are held at the Bafile Cultural Centre, in the city centre.
