Books take centre stage this summer

Porto d'Autore is the literary review promoted by the municipal library of Porto Mantovano, a municipality in the first belt of Mantua. Created to introduce contemporary and emerging authors and to expand the cultural offerings of the area, it features a series of book-related events between June and July in evocative locations within the municipality.

Villas and parks as a stage

The review has the unique feature of taking place in some of the most beautiful locations in Porto Mantovano: Drasso Park, Villa di Bagno, and Villa Schiarino Lena. Each evening is held in a different setting, transforming parks and historic residences into informal and welcoming spaces for cultural exchange. This approach serves to enhance the municipality's heritage while simultaneously bringing the public closer to reading.

Literary aperitifs and author encounters

The program alternates different formats: from literary aperitifs with reading recommendations, to meetings with nationally renowned writers, to readings dedicated to great literary figures. The collaboration with the Mantuan Library Network and the libraries' Reading Groups enriches the events, creating moments of dialogue between authors and readers.

A cultural offering for everyone

Promoted by the municipal library, Porto d'Autore offers free admission, with booking recommended.
