The Porcini Mushroom Festival of Tavarone is one of the longest-running gastronomic festivals in the province of La Spezia. It takes place in Tavarone, a hamlet of the municipality of Maissana, in the woods of Alta Val di Vara, a land particularly suited to porcini mushroom foraging.
