About Pontebba Carnival
The Carnival of a mountain town
Nestled in the Canal del Ferro, on the border with Carnia and a stone's throw from Austria, Pontebba celebrates Carnival with an event that brings together young and old at the Cinema Teatro Italia. A simple and popular festival, which brings color and warmth in the middle of winter and keeps the Carnival tradition alive in a border region.
Afternoon for children, evening for adults
The day is divided into two parts. In the afternoon, it's time for the little ones, with games, entertainment, and costume activities, accompanied by snacks for everyone. In the evening, it's the Carnival Party: music with DJs, dancing, and the unmissable awards for the best costume, the most original couple, and the most energetic group.
A celebration for the whole community
Organized by Pontebba's associations with the support of the Municipality, the Carnival is a moment of gathering that involves the entire community. Admission is free, emphasizing the open and popular nature of a celebration designed for togetherness and fun.
