The Ponchielli Theatre Dance Season is the programme that brings the best of national and international dance to Cremona. On the stage of the historic Amilcare Ponchielli Theatre, one of the most beautiful theatre halls in Lombardy, prestigious companies and diverse styles alternate, from classical ballet to contemporary dance, from theatre dance to the most experimental choreographic research.
International and Italian Companies
The programme balances the presence of prestigious international companies — such as NDT2, Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, Tao Dance Theater, Sasha Waltz & Guests — and important Italian ensembles, offering the public a broad and representative panorama of the contemporary choreographic scene. Alongside major repertoire classics, more abstract, minimalist, or performative creations find their space.

Ponchielli Dance Season — edition 2026
The 2026 Dance Season at the Ponchielli Theatre comprises eight performances from February to April, featuring some of the most significant companies on the international scene. The programme alternates classical ballet, contemporary dance, theatre dance, and new choreographic languages.
Among the highlights are the gala La Gioia di Danzare with Nicoletta Manni and Timofej Andrijashenko (March 7), La Duse by Compagnia Opus Ballet (March 21), Decisione Consapevole by Roberto Tedesco | Körper (March 26), Otello by Balletto di Roma (April 9), and performances by Tao Dance Theater and Sasha Waltz & Guests with Beethoven 7 (April 22). Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo return to the Ponchielli with Romeo and Juliet.
