The wine fair of Valtènesi
In Polpenazze del Garda (province of Brescia), in the heart of Valtènesi and a short distance from Lake Garda, one of Italy's longest-running wine events takes place. The Wine Fair, whose origins date back to the 1950s, celebrates the great winemaking tradition of this territory, home to renowned rosés and Garda wines.
A grand tasting route
The historic center—between Piazza Biolchi, Piazza Roma, and Piazza Zanardelli—transforms into a widespread tasting experience. Approximately 30 wineries are present, mainly from Valtènesi and Basso Garda, but also from Lugana and Alto Garda, offering over 150 wines for tasting.
Masterclasses, music, and entertainment
Every day, masterclasses are held at the Polpenazze Castle, dedicated to rosé wines, local white grape varieties, and sparkling wines. The program is enriched by evening concerts, DJ sets, food trucks with Italian street food, and the traditional fireworks that conclude the event.
A tradition that continues
Organized by Arte del Vino and Tipico Eventi, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Lombardy Region, the Polpenazze Wine Fair combines wine quality, education, and popular celebration, attracting enthusiasts and tourists from all over the Brescia side of Garda.
Polpenazze Wine Fair — edition 2026
The 2026 edition, the seventy-fourth, animates the historic center of Polpenazze del Garda from May 29 to June 2. Dedicated to Valtènesi, it offers tastings from about 30 wineries with over 150 wines, daily masterclasses at the Castle, evening concerts, DJ sets, and food trucks. The official inauguration is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, at 10:00 AM. The event concludes on June 2 with the traditional fireworks.

Friday, May 29 (6:00 PM - 12:00 AM)
- Opening of the fair and tasting stands in the historic center.
Saturday, May 30 & Sunday, May 31 (10:00 AM - 12:00 AM)
- Official inauguration on Saturday at 10:00 AM with Mayor Maria Rosa Avanzini and critic Edoardo Raspelli, award ceremony for the National Wine Competition.
- Tastings, masterclasses at the Castle (6:45 PM and 7:30 PM) on rosés, local white grape varieties, and sparkling wines.
- Concerts, DJ sets, and food trucks.
Monday, June 1 (6:00 PM - 12:00 AM) & Tuesday, June 2 (10:00 AM - 12:00 AM)
- Continuation of tastings and masterclasses; final fireworks on June 2.

How to get here
Polpenazze is accessible from the A4 motorway (Desenzano exit) and the Valtènesi roads; it is close to the lakeside towns on the Brescia side of Garda.
