The Polenta Taragna Festival is the gastronomic feast that transforms the Palafeste in Grumello del Monte, in the province of Bergamo, into the temple of typical cuisine. The star is polenta taragna, the famous dish made from cornmeal and buckwheat flour, enriched with butter and cheese, the queen of the Orobic valleys' tables, prepared here according to the traditional recipe and served piping hot.
A traditional menu
Alongside the taragna, the rich menu offers grilled meats, the famous casoncelli — the stuffed ravioli that are a symbol of Bergamasco cuisine —, pizzoccheri, and a wide selection of beers, wines, and cocktails. A offering that brings together the great classics of the Lombard mountains on one large covered table, open for lunch and dinner on weekends.
Live music and families
The festival is not just about taste: the evenings are accompanied by live music, with tribute bands dedicated to the great names of Italian rock, while Sunday is family day, with entertainment for children, face painting, baby dance, and creative workshops. An event that in Grumello del Monte, a town in the Bergamo plain on the edge of Franciacorta, has become an anticipated spring event in just a few editions.

The 2nd edition of the Polenta Taragna Festival takes place from Friday, March 20 to Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the Palafeste in Grumello del Monte (Via Kennedy 63). Three days dedicated to polenta taragna prepared according to the traditional recipe, with a rich menu including grilled meats, casoncelli, pizzoccheri, and a wide selection of beers, wines, and cocktails. The evenings are enlivened by live music: Friday, March 20 at 9:30 PM, a tribute to Vasco Rossi with Vascombriccola; Saturday, March 21 at 9:30 PM, a tribute to Ligabue with Bandaliga. Sunday is dedicated to families with children's entertainment, face painting, baby dance, and creative workshops.

How to get there
Grumello del Monte is located along the Bergamo–Brescia axis, near the Grumello exit on the A4 motorway. The festival takes place at the Palafeste, in Via Kennedy 63.
