Twenty years of the Polenta Festival

The twentieth edition took place on Sunday, October 12, 2025, in Monteflavio, in the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, with guests welcomed from 11 AM and food stands opening at noon, until the evening.

The menu featured white polenta seasoned with white pork spare rib sauce, prepared according to the local recipe, and red polenta with meat sauce, accompanied by traditional main courses, cheeses, homemade desserts, and local wine. The cooking took place as always in large copper cauldrons, with the cornmeal poured in a steady stream and stirred for a long time with a wooden stick.

The day, organized by the volunteers of the Pro Loco APS Monteflavio, attracted visitors from all over the province of Rome and the Sabina, featuring live folk music and shared tables in the village square.
