Pink Ride: Sport and solidarity in pink in the Canavese region

The Pink Ride is a cycle tour held in Salerano Canavese, a small town in the Metropolitan City of Turin nestled in the rolling hills of the Canavese area, in Piedmont. The initiative was created to celebrate International Women's Day, turning March 8th into a moment of celebration, movement, and community, open to cyclists of all levels.

An event dedicated to prevention

The event is promoted by the Associazione Donna Oggi e Domani (A.D.O.D. - ODV), a volunteer organization active in the Canavese area and part of the Europa Donna Italia network, in collaboration with the U.S. Vigor Ivrea sports club. The association works alongside the Breast Unit of the ASL TO4, dedicating its efforts to primary and secondary breast cancer prevention, the promotion of women's health, and patient support. The Pink Ride translates this commitment into a concrete gesture: pedaling together to remind everyone that physical activity is a pillar of prevention.

How it works

The meeting point is Piazza del Municipio in Salerano Canavese, where participants set off on a cycle route suitable for everyone, designed more as a social gathering than a race. The initiative is part of a broader day of awareness involving the Canavese territory, with complementary activities dedicated to movement and women's health.
