The race that revives around the lake
Piedilucando brings back to life the historic footrace of the Giro di Piediluco, in the charming lakeside village of the municipality of Terni. The event, scheduled for May 1st, is now a classic of the Umbrian running calendar and an opportunity to experience Lake Piediluco on a day dedicated to sport and nature.
Two routes for everyone
The event offers two trails along the paths surrounding the lake: a competitive race of 14.4 km, reserved for competitive runners, and an ecological walk of 5.2 km, designed for families, walkers, and nature lovers. Both routes offer panoramic views of the water and the surrounding hills.
Sport, nature, and territory
Organized by the Myricae Association, Piedilucando is part of the Umbrian Villages Running Circuit and combines the competitive aspect with environmental and tourist promotion of the area. The day involves numerous sports clubs from the province of Terni and Umbria, in a festive atmosphere that combines competition and conviviality on the lake's shores.
Piedilucando — edition 2026
The third edition of Piedilucando was a great success, celebrating sport, nature, and the enhancement of the territory. On the trails of Lake Piediluco, the two traditional routes were held: the 14.4 km competitive race and the 5.2 km ecological walk.
In the men's race, Jean Marc Diomande (IloveRun Athletic Terni) triumphed, ahead of Pietro Zabbeni (Libertas Vallesabbia) and Michele Fiorucci (Atl. Lib. Città di Castello). Among the women, Manuela Piccini (Asd Runners San Gemini) took victory, followed by Mary Celi (Podistica Myricae) and Ana Nanu (Atl. Casone Noceto). In the club standings, Amatori Podistica Terni took first place, ahead of Athletic Terni and Ternana Marathon Terni.
