A distributed festival for families
Festival Picinin is the new event series that brings two weekends of shows designed for families to Piove di Sacco, in the heart of the Saccisica region in the province of Padua. The watchword is 'distributed entertainment': the events are not concentrated only in the historic center but reach especially the four hamlets of the Municipality.
Shows, magic, and literary walks
The program combines shows, concerts, magic, circus theatre (nouveau cirque), and literary walks dedicated to the different chapters of the timeless story of Pinocchio. A varied offering that focuses on children but involves all ages.
Part of 'Come quando fuori Piove'
The festival was born within the 'Come quando fuori Piove' project, promoted by the Department of Culture of Piove di Sacco and the Department for Family Policies of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. Participation in the shows is free, subject to availability.
Picinin Festival — edition 2026
The first edition of the Festival Picinin takes place in Piove di Sacco from May 9th to 24th, 2026, with the core of the program starting on May 9th. Two weekends of events bring shows, concerts, magic, and circus theatre to the historic center and the four hamlets of the Municipality.
Among the offerings are literary walks dedicated to the different chapters of the timeless story of Pinocchio, designed to accompany families in discovering the territory. The festival is part of the 'Come quando fuori Piove' project by the Department of Culture and the Department for Family Policies.

How to get there
Piove di Sacco can be reached from Padua in about 20 minutes by car (SP3) or by intercity buses. The events take place in the historic center and in the hamlets of the Municipality.
