Piccoli Talenti is a summer event held in Lauro, a municipality in the Vallo di Lauro area in the province of Avellino, Campania. The program for the two evenings combines three ingredients stated from the very beginning: music, entertainment, and fun. The final evening features a guest comedian: in the 2026 edition, the well-known comedian Fofò brought joy and entertainment to the audience, closing the two days on a lighthearted note.

The Meatball Festival

Piccoli Talenti is not just about the stage. The event is twinned with the Meatball Festival (Sagra della Polpetta), which accompanies the evenings with a popular and recognizable gastronomic offer:

• meatballs in sauce, a traditional Campanian home-style recipe;
• fried meatballs, served hot and crispy;
• sandwiches;
• portions of chips;
• crêpes for dessert, particularly appreciated by children.

The combination of the young artists' stage and the festival stands is what gives the event its identity: culture, tradition, and conviviality in the same space, with the slow and familiar pace of summer village evenings.

Who organizes it

The event is promoted by the cultural and recreational association «Valori e Tradizione», a local entity from Lauro, with the patronage of the Municipality of Lauro. The first editions took place in the hamlet of Migliano di Lauro, included in the municipal summer calendar alongside the Meatball Festival; the most recent edition confirmed the formula, reaching its third edition in 2026.

The event is part of the wider calendar of summer events promoted by the Municipality of Lauro, which from June to September enlivens the historic center, the Castello Lancellotti, and Palazzo Pignatelli with concerts, theatrical performances, exhibitions, literary events, and initiatives linked to local traditions. Piccoli Talenti represents its most familiar and local side: no national stars, but the kids from the town and nearby hamlets, who for two evenings become the protagonists in front of their fellow citizens.
