The Piano di Sorrento Carnival is the masquerade celebration that colors Piazza Cota, the town's central square overlooking the Gulf of Naples, every year. Promoted by the Municipality of Piano di Sorrento through the Department of Culture, Tourism, and Entertainment, the event spans two days of the carnival calendar, turning the most popular public space in the center into a large open-air stage.

This is not a parade of allegorical floats, but a town square festival built around entertainment, play, and collective participation: a simple, popular formula designed so that no one remains a passive spectator.

A festival designed for children and families

The heart of the event is the little ones. The program revolves around children's entertainment, with shows, mascots, bouncy castles, music, and moments of collective engagement that fill the square for several hours. The Municipality explicitly invites citizens of all ages to wear a mask and participate in the double appointment to celebrate one of the most beloved festivals of the calendar together.
