The floriculture market exhibition in the heart of Piacenza
As the days lengthen and the air becomes milder, the historic center of Piacenza fills with colors, scents, and floral arrangements with Piacenza in Fiore, the market exhibition dedicated to floriculture and the excellence of craftsmanship. The event, now a fixture for the people of Piacenza, welcomes specialized nurserymen from various regions and transforms the most beautiful squares of the Emilian capital into a large open-air garden.
The heart of the event is Piazza Duomo, where the exhibition area with plants, flowers, and arrangements from nurserymen is concentrated. In Piazza Cavalli, the city's monumental living room, the stalls of the Quality Merchants showcase Made in Italy craftsmanship excellence, while Piazzetta Plebiscito hosts the farmers' market and agricultural street food curated by Coldiretti Piacenza with the Campagna Amica initiative.
Piacenza in Fiore is not just a commercial showcase: the program includes itinerant shows, live music, circus performances, dance exhibitions, and numerous workshops. Adults and children can participate in thematic workshops dedicated to plant care, creating floral arrangements, and creative activities related to the world of nature.
The capital of the province of the same name, Piacenza is the northwestern gateway to Emilia-Romagna, a city of art overlooking the Po River and known for its Renaissance squares and the famous bronze horses by Mochi. Piacenza in Fiore highlights this urban setting, combining floricultural tradition with the discovery of the historic center and its monuments, in a weekend that marks the symbolic beginning of spring in the Municipality.
For the first time in its history, Piacenza in Fiore took place over three days, from March 20 to 22, 2026, with an expanded program spread throughout the historic center.
In Piazza Duomo, specialized nurserymen offered plants, flowers, and arrangements, alongside the stalls of the Quality Merchants. In Piazzetta Plebiscito, Coldiretti Piacenza brought the farmers' market and agricultural street food from Campagna Amica, with zero-kilometer products, tastings, and specialties prepared by farmers on Saturday and Sunday.
Ample space was dedicated to entertainment: on Saturday and Sunday, itinerant performances by the TaDam circus school with stilt walkers and juggling, the "Create Your Wreath" workshops with Kadรฒ Flower Farm, and a workshop on bonsai care and pruning with florist Mauro Brocchieri. On Sunday, March 22, at 4:00 PM in Piazza Cavalli, the "Lindy Hop in Fiore" event combined music and dance in collaboration with the Piacenza Jazz Club.
Indicative program based on organizer communications; times subject to change.
