A day of live music at Villa Bonelli Park for the Fête de la Musique
The Pensagramma Music Fest is the annual event where the Pensagramma Music School celebrates the end of its musical year, transforming Villa Bonelli Park in the Portuense district of Rome into a large open-air stage. The event takes place during the Fête de la Musique, the international festival that fills the streets, squares, and parks of Italian and European cities with music every June 21st.
From 11 am to 7 pm, the park hosts a series of performances featuring the school's students alongside their teachers. The program is born from the work done throughout the year and showcases the variety of courses offered by Pensagramma: singers, pop and gospel choirs, guitarists, pianists, drummers, wind players, and small ensembles take turns on stage.
Active in the Portuense district, Pensagramma is an educational institution that supports students of all ages with courses in modern and jazz singing, pop and gospel choirs, guitar, bass, piano, drums and percussion, saxophone, clarinet, flute, trumpet, and musical preparation for children. The Music Fest is the moment when this educational journey meets the public, offering students the chance to perform live in front of families, friends, and passersby.
The initiative is part of the rich calendar of events that Municipality XI and the City of Rome promote for the Fête de la Musique, which spreads throughout the capital and the entire Lazio region. Villa Bonelli, with its park and nearby train station, thus becomes one of the musical reference points for the south-western quadrant of the city, in a spirit of popular participation that is the hallmark of this day.
Thanks to free admission, the outdoor setting, and the day-long duration, the Pensagramma Music Fest is designed as an event open to everyone: those who wish can stay for the whole day, while those passing through the park can listen to a few songs and continue on their way. It is a simple and genuine way to experience neighborhood music, highlighting the talent of the students and the role of the school as a cultural hub for the local area.
On Sunday, June 21, 2026, Villa Bonelli Park hosted the Pensagramma Music Fest, the end-of-year celebration of the Pensagramma Music School, included in the Fête de la Musique program of Rome's Municipality XI.
From 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, performances by the school's groups and students, accompanied by their teachers, followed one another on stage, with a repertoire spanning pop, jazz, choral singing, and ensemble music. Admission was free, with the park open to families and enthusiasts for the entire day.
Villa Bonelli Park is located at via Camillo Montalcini 1, in the Portuense district of Rome. By train, the Villa Bonelli station (FL1 line) is just a few steps from the entrance. By public transport, bus lines serving the Portuense-Magliana area are useful. By car, it can be reached from via del Trullo and the Circonvallazione Gianicolense; parking is available on nearby streets.
The event takes place from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm with free admission. As it is an outdoor event, comfortable clothing, water, and sun protection during the hottest hours of the day are recommended.
