The Festival of the Nativity of Mary in Vangadizza
The Patronal Festival of Vangadizza takes place in the hamlet of the same name in Legnago, in the Lower Veronese area, in honor of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mary, patroness of the parish. Established in its current form in 1997 around the parish seat, it is a classic Venetian village festival where the religious and convivial dimensions coexist.
Venetian Cuisine and Dancing
The heart of the festival is the food stand, open every evening, with traditional specialties: Venetian-style risotto, duck lasagna, grilled meats, and, upon request, vegan options. The evenings are accompanied by big dance orchestras, performing on a steel dance floor, while the youth area offers evenings with DJs. Every evening, before the festivities, the Holy Rosary is recited.
A Community Celebration
Organized by the Festival Committee, the festival is an event rooted in the life of the hamlet and the entire Municipality of Legnago (province of Verona): it takes place in a covered venue, ensuring the evenings can proceed even in case of bad weather, with free admission.
Festival of Vangadizza — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Patronal Festival of Vangadizza will be held from May 8 to 12. Every evening, the food stand will offer traditional Venetian dishes, while the steel dance floor will host big dance orchestras and the youth area will feature DJ nights. The festival, dedicated to the Child Mary, will take place in a covered venue with free admission.

How to get there
Vangadizza is a hamlet of Legnago, reachable from the city center in a few minutes. Legnago is served by the SR434 Transpolesana and the Verona-Rovigo railway line.
Times and admission
