The patron saint who gives the town its name

The Patronal Feast of Saint Nicholas is celebrated on December 6th, the liturgical day of Saint Nicholas of Bari, in Ponte San Nicolò in the province of Padova. It is not just any festival: the saint is the millennial guardian of the town, so much so that it bears his name. For this reason, schools and public offices remain closed, underlining the civil as well as religious value of the recurrence.

A civil and religious festival

The day combines moments of faith around the Church of Saint Nicholas with street events. In the streets of the center, you will find street artists and shows, traditional musical events, a small carousel for children, hot chocolate and mulled wine, as well as stalls from local associations. It is the festival that opens the town's Christmas period.

Community and volunteering

The celebration is made possible by the collaboration between the parish of the main town, the Friends of the Church, the Pro Loco, the blood donors association, local associations, and the Municipality of Ponte San Nicolò. An intertwining of realities that makes the feast of Saint Nicholas an unmissable event for the community, capable of bringing together families and residents of all ages in the square.
