The Christmas in Dolo, Arino and Sambruson program accompanies the Christmas holidays in the Municipality of Dolo (province of Venice) and its hamlets, along the Brenta Canal. The program unfolds throughout the Advent and holiday period, until Epiphany, combining events for families, traditional moments, and cultural initiatives.
Markets, Concerts, and Nativity Scenes
The heart of the events are the Christmas markets in Piazza Cantiere and along the streets of the center, with stalls, gift ideas, and specialties. Hot chocolate, tea, and mulled wine are available on the Duomo's churchyard. The calendar includes Christmas concerts—such as the one by the Sambruson Choir—nativity scenes set up in the hamlets, and numerous activities dedicated to children.
The Arrival of the Befana
The most anticipated moment is the arrival of the Befana on January 6th at the Squero, with the descent of the old woman and, subsequently, the fireworks display that illuminates the Brenta. The entire program is organized by Pro Loco Dolo in collaboration with the Municipality of Dolo.
Christmas in Dolo — edition 2026
For Christmas 2026, the Municipality of Dolo and Pro Loco Dolo are again organizing a widespread program that, from Advent to Epiphany, enlivens the main town and the hamlets of Arino and Sambruson. Christmas markets are planned in Piazza Cantiere, along with Christmas concerts, nativity scenes in the hamlets, and activities for children, culminating in the grand finale on January 6, 2027, with the arrival of the Befana at the Squero and a fireworks display. Specific dates and times will be published closer to the holidays.
