Saint Mark, Patron of Pallare

In Pallare, a Municipality in the Province of Savona in the Bormida Valley, the patron saint Saint Mark is celebrated on April 25th. A unique aspect makes this festival special: Pallare is the only Municipality in the province of Savona to have Saint Mark as its patron saint. The occasion coincides with the anniversary of the Liberation, thus uniting civil commemoration, religious tradition, and a village festival.

Lisotti and Rice Cake

The gastronomic heart of the festival are the 'lisotti', prepared by the Pro Loco of Pallare, and the rice cake, traditional dishes made with simple and genuine ingredients. Distribution begins at 2 PM at the town's sports facilities, where the heart of the event is concentrated, while local restaurants offer their menus by reservation.

A Festival for Everyone

In addition to good food, the festival offers a rich program: the spring market, the fishing competition, bouncy castles for children, artisan stalls, free creative workshops with artist Silvia Faggion, and prize games organized by AVIS Pallare. An event that involves the entire community and enhances the rural identity and roots of the Savona Bormida Valley.
