In the municipality of Cesano Boscone, on the outskirts of Milan (Province of Milan, Lombardy), the Patronal Feast of Saint John the Baptist is the event of the year: a long-standing tradition that has enlivened the city's September calendar for over forty years. Promoted by the Parish of Saint John the Baptist with the support of the Municipality and numerous local sponsors, the feast is distinguished by its duration—about two weeks—and the breadth of its program, which combines the religious dimension with a wide-ranging cultural and musical offering.

Faith and Tradition

The religious heart of the feast remains the devotion to the patron saint. Celebrations include solemn masses, prayer moments, and processions with the statue of the Madonna that traverse the different city districts, marking the Sundays of the feast. The concluding Mass, accompanied by a gospel choir, seals two weeks of intense popular participation.

The Cesano Jazz Festival and Music

Among the highlights of the secular program is the Cesano Jazz Festival, with its quality ensembles and musical evenings. The program is enriched by exhibitions held at Villa Marazzi, book presentations, round tables, and theatrical performances.
