The Festival of Sordio's Patron Saint

The Patronal Feast of Saint Bartholomew is the most anticipated event of the year in Sordio, a small municipality in the province of Lodi, in the Lower Lombardy region. Although Saint Bartholomew is liturgically celebrated on August 24th, the town's festival takes place in September, extending the summer with four evenings of celebration at the sports center on Via Berlinguer.

Four Evenings of Music and Dancing

The heart of the event is the dancing evenings with live orchestras, a deeply cherished tradition in the towns of the Lodi region. From Friday to Monday, the sports center transforms into a large open-air dance floor, where ballroom dancing and folk music provide the soundtrack to a celebration that involves all generations.

Gastronomy and Conviviality

Accompanying the music are the Pro Loco's gastronomic stands, offering traditional Lombard dishes and specialties that make every town festival an occasion for meeting and good food. The festival is a time when Sordio comes together, with residents and visitors from neighboring municipalities, in an atmosphere of joy and community.
