Ossago in Sagra is the village festival of Ossago Lodigiano, a small municipality of just over a thousand inhabitants in the province of Lodi. The festival is held on the occasion of the feast of the patron saints, Gervasus and Protasius, celebrated every fourth Sunday in September. It is one of the most cherished moments of the year for the community, which comes together around its religious and popular traditions.

Between Faith and Community

The festival combines religious moments—linked to the devotion for the patron saints and celebrated in the parish church dedicated to Saints Gervasus and Protasius, which is also a Marian shrine—with cultural and recreational activities. The procession and religious services alternate with events that liven up the town centre, in a balance typical of Italian patron saint festivals between the spiritual dimension and popular celebration.

The Village Festival

Organised by the association Ossago in Festa, the festival offers food stalls, music, and events for all ages, with the heart of the event in the town centre, near the Town Hall in Via Roma. An occasion for meeting and conviviality that also attracts visitors from neighbouring municipalities in the Lodigiano region, drawn by the authentic atmosphere of a village festival.
