About Patrica Vintage Rally

Every summer, the village of Patrica in the province of Frosinone hosts the Patrica Vintage Car and Motorcycle Rally, an event organized by the Le Vecchie Signore Association as part of the Estate Patricana summer festival. It is a day dedicated to historic vehicles and motorcycles arriving from across the Lazio region to parade through the town streets and be displayed, amidst the scent of warm oil, polished chrome, and the warm hospitality of a village overlooking the Sacco Valley.

A historic motor rally in the heart of Ciociaria

The Patrica Vintage Car and Motorcycle Rally is one of the most anticipated summer events in the municipality of Patrica, a small village in the Monti Lepini range in the province of Frosinone, southern Lazio. Launched by the Le Vecchie Signore Association, the rally brings together collectors, federated clubs, and enthusiasts every year who bring perfectly preserved or lovingly restored vintage cars and motorcycles to the village.

The format follows the classic Italian rally style: morning gathering, crew registration, static display of vehicles in the town squares, and social moments. The result is an open-air museum that changes with every edition, where 1950s economy cars, sports sedans, roadsters, and motorcycles that shaped the history of Italian motoring all coexist.

Patrica, a village overlooking the valley

Perched halfway up the Monti Lepini, Patrica overlooks the Sacco River valley, with views from its lookout point stretching as far as the Monti Ernici. Its narrow streets, stone doorways, and intimate squares provide a backdrop that showcases the vehicles far better than an anonymous parking lot. For participants, the rally is also an opportunity to discover the historic center, the parish church, and the local landscapes, just a few kilometers from Frosinone.

Part of the Estate Patricana

The rally is not an isolated event; it is part of the Estate Patricana, the festival program that the Municipality of Patrica curates every year from late June to September. The calendar includes concerts, street performances and magic shows, nature trail excursions, the Feast of Saint Anne in the Tomacella area, the Ciociaria Music and Street Food Festival, the mid-August Borgo in Musica, and the celebrations for the patron saint, Saint Roch. Visitors arriving for the historic cars will find a packed schedule of events during the same week.

What to expect during the day

  • Static display of vintage cars and motorcycles in the village squares, open to the public and free of charge.
  • Parade of vehicles along the town streets and the scenic roads of the Monti Lepini.
  • Refreshments and traditional products from Ciociaria, with the chance to sample local cuisine.
  • Awards ceremony and recognition for the crews, following the tradition of rallies organized by historic clubs.
  • Family atmosphere: the event is designed for everyone, including those who are not experts but simply want to admire the vehicles up close.

A growing tradition

The sequential numbering of the editions confirms the event's continuity: 2025 marked the fourth edition, a sign that the rally has become a staple in the village's summer calendar. The free-to-attend format and its inclusion in the municipal program have helped expand the audience well beyond the circle of enthusiasts, attracting families, curious onlookers, and visitors from neighboring towns in the province of Frosinone.

Why it's worth it

In a region where major automotive events are concentrated around Rome, the Patrica rally offers a more intimate and authentic alternative. There are no ticket booths or barriers: you can walk among the cars, talk to the owners, and hear the stories behind the restorations. It is the best way to understand why, in Italy, vintage cars are affectionately called "the old ladies" (le vecchie signore).

Patrica Vintage Rally โ€” edition 2026

The 2026 edition of the Patrica Vintage Car and Motorcycle Rally does not yet have an official date. The Municipality of Patrica has begun planning the Estate Patricana 2026 program, which has hosted the rally organized by the Le Vecchie Signore Association in previous years. Information will be updated as soon as the program is released through official channels.

The Patrica Vintage Car and Motorcycle Rally is expected to return for the summer of 2026, following the fourth edition in 2025. As of the writing of this entry, the Municipality of Patrica, in the province of Frosinone, has not yet published the full calendar for the Estate Patricana 2026, and the exact date of the rally is therefore not yet confirmed.

In past editions, the event has taken place in the second half of July, featuring a morning gathering, a display of vehicles in the historic center, and a parade along the scenic roads of the Monti Lepini. It is recommended to check the dates on the official channels of the Municipality and the Le Vecchie Signore Association before planning your trip.
