A craft festival in the heart of Tuscia

Passione Creativa is an exhibition of artistic crafts and local products that brings life to Cura di Vetralla, the most populous district of the Vetralla municipality in the province of Viterbo. Launched in 2023 by the VE.C.IN – Vetralla Città Incantata association with the support of the municipal Tourism Office, the event has quickly become a highly anticipated date on the spring calendar of the Tuscia region in northern Lazio. The core idea is simple yet effective: dedicating an entire day to local creativity by bringing together those who work with their hands, those who paint, those who cook, and those dedicated to volunteer work.

The "Arnoldo Foà" Poetry Park

The event is set in the "Arnoldo Foà" Poetry Park, the green lung of Cura di Vetralla along the Via Cassia. Among the tree-lined paths of the park, visitors will find exhibitor stands, painters' easels, and spaces dedicated to local associations: a familiar and welcoming environment, perfect for a Sunday stroll among stalls and works of art from morning until late afternoon.

Artistic crafts and traditional trades

The heart of the event is the space reserved for high-quality artistic craftsmanship. Local artisans display handmade goods and share skills passed down through generations—a heritage of knowledge that Passione Creativa aims to promote and pass on to new generations. Recent editions have also featured collaboration with the CNA of Viterbo and Civitavecchia, confirming the interest of the professional sector in this showcase of craftsmanship.

Art, schools, and solidarity

Alongside the artisans, the day features painters from the MAV – Movimento Artistico Vetrallese, who display their works on easels alongside artists from across the Tuscia region. Children are also involved: primary and nursery school students present their drawings in a project designed to encourage creative expression from an early age. The event also has a strong charitable focus: in past editions, proceeds from the sale of donated works were given to ANGSA Viterbo, an organization dedicated to autism, while groups like AVIS and AIL have also been present among the stands.

The flavors of Tuscia

Passione Creativa is also a celebration of taste: local producers offer the gastronomic specialties of the Viterbo Tuscia, from fresh produce to traditional recipes. The experience is rounded out by cultural and naturalistic offerings, such as an exhibition curated by experts from the Marturanum Regional Park of Barbarano Romano and a small display of historical memorabilia from the Carabinieri.

A growing young event

The first edition took place on May 28, 2023, followed by the second on June 2, 2024, and the third on June 1, 2025, always on a Sunday at the Poetry Park. Edition after edition, the event has expanded its range of exhibitors and visitors, establishing itself as one of the most genuine initiatives in the Lazio region for those who love authentic traditions and want to support local artisans.
